Want to really get to know Vancouver’s arts and culture scene? If you’re visiting the city this November, be sure to check out the annual Eastside Culture Crawl — a four-day festival that has local artists opening up their personal studios and galleries to the public.

Taking place every November since 1997, the visual, art, and design extravaganza presents a really unique opportunity to discover and engage with the city’s creative community. This year, the Eastside Culture Crawl runs from November 14 to 17 and, along with individual artists to check out, there are also a couple of special events taking place. There’s DISPLACEMENT, a salon-style, multi-venue exhibition that explores social issues; Moving Art, the festival’s sixth annual presentation of contemporary film; and Talking Art, a curated series of talks hosted by the festival’s participating artists. There’s even an afternoon of activities dedicated to kids!

The Culture Crawl takes place around a variety of East Vancouver neighbourhoods — located just a few minutes from us here at the Georgian Court Hotel Vancouver — and the stops are all fairly close to one another. You can walk, bike, or car share, which all make for great ways to explore the city, too! There’s a handy map available for reference to help plan out your route.

When planning your trip to Vancouver, be sure to book your stay with us here at the Georgian Court Hotel Vancouver. Our convenient location right in the heart of the city is ideal for getting around and exploring all the top sights, plus, luxurious suites and on-site amenities including our Frankie’s Italian Kitchen & Bar (a local favourite spot to catch live music and enjoy a meal) are just some of the reasons why we’re the top choice for boutique accommodations in the area. Make your reservations today to find out more.
